The International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and the Organizing Committee of the 7th International Strawberry Symposium (VII ISS) warmly invite you to attend the grandest international symposium in the strawberry circle.

The 7th International Strawberry Symposium will be held in Changping District of Beijing, China from February 18 to 22, 2012. Changping is a well-known strawberry growing area and production base in China. The Organizing Committee of the VII ISS is formed by Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China, the Chinese Society for Horticultural Science, the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, Beijing Municipal Commission of Rural Affairs, Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Forestry, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Agriculture, Beijing Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, Strawberry Section of Chinese Society for Horticultural Science, the People’s Government of Changping District, Beijing, and China International Conference Center for Science and Technology.

The theme of the symposium is Green, Freshness, Health and Development, which highlight mankind’s goal for crop products. The symposium, especially its invited lectures and oral presentations, is aimed at providing an effective way to achieve this goal.

The VII ISS will provide an international meeting point for researchers, academics, technicians, students, sales representatives and other professionals from the sector, thus widening professional contact and creating new opportunities, including establishing new collaboration. Besides invited lectures, oral presentations in different sessions and technical visits, the VII ISS will also hold exhibitions on strawberry production and research, including an exhibition of strawberry production equipment and technology from major domestic and international strawberry producers. You can also enjoy social activities of different varieties.

Again, the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and the Organizing Committee of the 7th International Strawberry Symposium (VII ISS) have the honor and privilege of inviting you to attend this most important event in the strawberry circle on the strawberry research and production.

On June 26, 2011, at the invitation of China Society for Horticultural Science(CSHS),Dr.Antonio Monteiro, President of International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), came to China to visit for the first time.

On June 2, 2011, Mei Song, Director of Beijing Municipal Creative Culture Industry Promotion Center led a team to inspect the preparation work of the 7th International Strawberry Symposium (VII ISS), inquiring about pushing forward the construction of the Strawberry Creative Culture Industry Expo Garden.

On May 27, 2011, Nobuo Okayama, the First Deputy Chief of the Research Institute of Finance, The Norinchukin Bank of Japan and Kenji Satake, Counselor from the Japanese Embassy in Beijing visited the Cubic Culture Exhibition Project of the 7th International Strawberry Symposium (VII ISS).

On May 24 and 31, 2011, personnel from both Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and Beijing Traffic Management Bureau made an inspection trip to the VII ISS Organizing Committee to inquire about the public security measures of VII ISS and at the same time to the construction site of the “One Expo Garden, Two Centers” of VII ISS.

On May 13, 2011, Mr. Wang Ai-min, Secretary-General of Beijing Federation of Industry & Commerce, led a team to inspect the preparation work of the 7th International Strawberry Symposium (VII ISS) in terms of calling for business enterprises worldwide for business cooperation and exhibition as well as inviting attendees worldwide to participate in the Symposium.
